Payment must be made in full prior to attending workshops. If a person is unable to attend a workshop another staff member may attend in their place. Refunds will not be given once a workshop has been booked.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT WORKSHOP
What is music to a young child? How can you teach it? This fun and informative workshop will leave you with many wonderful examples of ways to teach music and movement to children. The songs, dances, visual aids, percussion instrument and musical activities presented are a collection of Jingle Jam’s favourites! Be inspired and feel confident to teach music and movement to young children.
2 HOUR WORKSHOPS
Ideal for staff in-service days, afternoon, evening or Saturday workshops. Participants will learn many useful and practical ways to teach music and movement to young children.
MUSIC AND MOVEMENT FOR CHILDREN
The songs, dances, visual aids, percussion instrument and musical activities presented in this workshop are a collection of Jingle Jam’s favourites when introducing children to music. This workshop incorporates songs from all four Jingle Jam CDs. It is fun and informative and will leave you with many ideas on ways to teach music and movement to children!

SING AND SWING
Jingle Jam’s ‘Sing and Swing CD’ has been written within a limited vocal range to encourage children to use their voice in different ways and to sing along to easy but interesting melodies. You will be shown how to teach these songs to children and how to perform popular dances including Hula Baloola, Under the Sea, Caterpillar/Butterfly, Dinosaur Stomp, Little Lizzy and Clap, Stamp, Blink, Nod, Shake! All of the songs on the ‘Sing and Swing CD’ will be presented in this workshop!

MOVE AND GROOVE
Based on Jingle Jam’s ‘Move and Groove CD’, this workshop explores musical concepts through action songs as well as character songs. Themes include fairies and giants, pirates and mermaids, numbers, trees, cooking, Christmas, emotions and body awareness! This workshop will give you many wonderful musical activities to enjoy with your children!

FULL DAY WORKSHOPS 9am - 3pm
MUSIC AND MOVEMENT IN ONE DAY!
Based on all four Jingle Jam CDs, this workshop will show you how to develop wonderful music and movement sessions for young children.
The morning session explores beat, tempo and rhythm, the emphasis being on rhythm incorporating sounds and language activities. This is beneficial for teaching children, as it encourages them to learn about words and sounds in an interesting and musical way!
The next session is based on pitch, tone colour, dynamics and how to use percussion instruments successfully with young children. This will be presented through songs, dances, musical activities and children’s stories.
The day concludes with ways to structure a music session and how to develop it into a music program. This is a wonderful workshop demonstrating many useful and practical ways to present music and movement to young children. It is also an important workshop as it has so many useful ideas which will provide an avenue for children to express themselves and explore what their voice, body and mind can achieve through music. CHILDREN'S INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP

CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP - 40 MINUTES
Children will be guided through a variety of musical activities which get them singing, moving, listening and playing! This workshop is presented using visual aids and percussion instruments. It requires children to use their voice and body to respond to the songs, dances and musical activities presented. This is a fun and informative musical experience for children!
